Join us on Saturday, April 21 from 8:00 am-1: 00 pm.
Volunteers will work on Boone County Conservation District sites; the Long Prairie Trail, Kinnikinnick Conservation Area, Spencer Park and Belvidere Park District sites; Red Horse Bend and Mary Bracken Homestead Park. Trash and recyclables will be collected by volunteers on the Long Prairie Trail. Brush clearing, hiking trail and horse trail cleanup, and trash pickup will be done at the Kinnikinnick Conservation Area and Belvidere Park District sites.
Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to participate and are welcome to bring their own equipment including gloves, garbage grabbers, hand pruners and other hand tools. Free lunch and t-shirts will be provided.
Registration begins at the Poplar Grove Village Hall located at 200 Hill Street in Poplar Grove, IL, 7:30 am- 8:00 am. After a brief program there will be a group photo, then volunteers will disperse to their assigned work.
Scouts students, area business employees, church groups, service organizations and the public are invited to help.
