The Ice Arena Opens the season!
Facility Information
The Riverside Ice Arena is located in Doty Park near downtown Belvidere and sits along the Kishwaukee River. It includes one NHL regulation-sized ice rink, the AJ Johnson Warming House and Ozzie’s Skate Shop. The ice rink offers public skate times, open shooting, 2 warming cabins for rent and ice skating lessons for all ages. Ozzie’s Skate Shop offers skate rentals and skate aids.
Open Skate Pricing
- Adults (18+): $5
- Children (4-17): $3
- 3 Years old and under: Free
- Open Shoot: $6
- Skate Rental: $5
- Bobby Rental: $3 with ID
2024-25 Season Pass
- Individual: $40 for residents, $45 for non-residents
- Family of Two: $60 for residents, $65 for non-residents
- Additional Household Member: $15 per family member

Public Skate Times: Monday-Thursday: 4-7pm • Friday: 4-9 pm • Saturday: Noon-7 pm • Sunday: 12:15-7 pm
Figure Skate Times: Sunday: 10am-12pm

Open Shoot Times: YOUTH 12yrs and under Tuesday: 7:45-9 pm and Thursday: 7:15-9pm* • ADULT 13+: Monday/Wednesday: 7:15-9 pm* and Saturday: 5-7 pm*

FACILITY RENTALS – 2024-25 SEASON
The Riverside Ice Arena is located within Doty Park in downtown Belvidere at 365 W. Locust Street. Currently, we have one NHL regulation ice rink and a warming house where skates can be rented and concessions can be purchased. Reservations can be made at the Rivers Edge Recreation Center located at 1151 W. Locust Street in Belvidere. Reservations are on a first come, first served basis. Reservations will begin in December, 2023 and run through March, 2024 (depending on the weather). Weekdays & Weekends (non-hockey rental): $100/hour
Weekdays & Weekends (hockey rental): $150/hour
Temperature-controlled rental cabin: $40/hour
*Rental cabins available can be booked alone or in tandem with ice arena rentals

BOBBY RENTALS
While visiting the Riverside Ice Arena don’t forget you can rent our skate aid Bobby the Seal. These are great for people of all ages to help steady themselves as they enjoy recreational skating. Not only are you able to push your child around the rink to help you skate, but if your child gets tired while skating, they have the ability to sit and be pushed.
Bobby Rental: $3 with an ID
