The Belvidere Park District publishes Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) and bid specifications for a variety of projects, programs and products. Bids, RFPs and RFQs are published in local newspapers in compliance with local, state and federal laws. A summary of current project descriptions is listed below. Details are available by contacting the department specified in the announcement. You may also contact the department by phone, mail or email to request to be included on a list of vendors surveyed for specific projects.

Independent Program Instructors
The Belvidere Park District is now accepting applications for a variety of recreational program ideas and classes that you or your business would like to offer in partnership with the Park District in 2019. We are looking for instructors for Tai Chi, Dance Programs for Youth and Adult, Fitness Health and Wellness classes, Early Childhood, Youth Programs, Pet Classes and any other classes that fit our mission statement. BELVIDERE PARK DISTRICT DOTY PARK REDEVELOPMENT
1. Time and Place for Opening Bids: Sealed proposals for the Doty Park Redevelopment, for the Belvidere Park District, Belvidere, IL, will be received at the office of Belvidere Park District located at 1006 W. Lincoln Avenue, Belvidere, Illinois, 61008 until 2:00 P.M. CST, Thursday, April 9, 2020, and at that time will be opened and read aloud. 2. Description of Work: This work will include the construction of recreational paths, concrete sidewalk, construction of parking lot areas, pavement removal/installation, curb & gutter removal/installation, detention pond modifications, storm sewer installation, signage, striping and light pole base/pole installation. 3. Document Availability: Documents may be examined at the Belvidere Park District, 1006 W. Lincoln Avenue, Belvidere IL, or Arc Design Resources, 5291 Zenith Parkway, Loves Park IL. Copies of the documents may be obtained by contacting Arc Design Resources directly at 815-484-4300 x213 or by email request at email@example.com. Digital copies of the documents in PDF format are available upon request via email. Paper copies of the documents are available for a non-refundable payment of $100.00 per set to cover printing costs. Documents must be obtained in person and will not be mailed. 4. Other Bidding Information: Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court upon review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract. The Belvidere Park District is exempt from Illinois state, municipal, or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. All bids must be accompanied by a Bidder’s bond, certified check, bank cashier’s check, or bank draft payable to the Belvidere Park District for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder instructions. Rejection of Bids: The Belvidere Park District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of the contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder. Dated this 24th day of March 2020.
