Looking for the perfect spot for your next gathering? Belvidere Park District offers shelter rentals for family picnics, reunions, graduations, and other special occasions. With thirteen picnic shelters available across our parks from April through October, we provide a variety of scenic locations to suit your needs.
Each shelter accommodates different group sizes, and nearby amenities may include grills, electricity, playgrounds, restrooms, and access to the Kishwaukee Riverfront Path. Please note that playgrounds remain open to the public and are not reserved exclusively for shelter groups. Be sure to review your reservation form for specific rules and regulations.

SHELTER RESERVATION Information
Shelters are available for your family picnic, reunion, graduation or whatever occasion you may want to celebrate. Thirteen picnic shelters, in various park locations, are available to rent April thru October. Cost of the shelters range from $20 to $150.
Additional Picnic Tables may be rented for $10/per table. Additional Picnic Table requests require 48 hours notice.
Reservation forms must be completed at the Rivers Edge Recreation Center – 1151 W. Locust Street and are taken 72 hrs in advance. Please note that NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED on Park District property and no large audio is allowed. Inflatable equipment is permitted only if the equipment is rented from our authorized vendors.
