Three positions (four-year terms) on the Belvidere Township Park District Board of Commissioners will be up for election on April 1, 2025. Anyone interested in running for a board position can pick up election information packets, including petitions and other forms at the Belvidere Township Park District, 1006 W. Lincoln Avenue, Belvidere. The packets are available Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm beginning August 20, 2024. Those who wish to run for Park Board Commissioner must be a Belvidere Township Park District resident for at least one year prior to the election.
Potential candidates may begin circulating petitions on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. The official filing dates are Tuesday, November 12 through Monday, November 18, 2024.
Candidate petitions or certificates of nomination will be accepted beginning November 12, 2024 through November 18, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Belvidere Township Park District, 1006 W. Lincoln Avenue, Belvidere.
Candidates must give notice on the Statement of Candidacy and Nominating Petition sheets for which term they wish to be elected.
